About the race
The Brothers of Mercy Oktoberfest 5k takes place in Clarence, New York, on the grounds of the Brothers of Mercy Center. This event combines a running race with a traditional German themed celebration. Participants can choose to participate in the following:
- 5k Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- Oktoberfest Party attendee
The course is open to both runners and walkers. Registration for the athletic event includes access to the subsequent festivities. Children aged 10 and under are permitted to participate in the race and the meal at no cost. The first 300 registered participants are eligible to receive an event t-shirt.
The event features an official party held in conjunction with the race. This gathering includes a variety of German foods, international beers, and music provided by a German band. Activities at the venue include dancing and a feast for participants and guests.
