Brothers of Mercy Oktoberfest 5k
The Brothers of Mercy Oktoberfest 5k is an annual event held in Clarence, New York, at the Brothers of Mercy Center. Scheduled for September 2026, the event combines personal fitness with a traditional German festival atmosphere. Participants can take part in the primary athletic event or attend the social gathering independently.
The following event options are available:
- 5K Run/Walk: A competitive and recreational distance that includes entry to the post-run celebration.
- Oktoberfest Party only: A social registration option for those not participating in the run.
The post-race Oktoberfest celebration features a live German band providing music for dancing. Attendees are served a variety of German foods alongside a selection of international beers. Long-sleeve shirts are provided to the first 300 individuals who register for the event. Children aged 10 and under are permitted to participate in the race and the meal at no cost.
The competition includes awards for the top overall male and female finishers. Additionally, awards are presented to the top male and female finishers across various age divisions, ranging from 14 and under to 80 and over.
