Brothers of Mercy Oktoberfest & Race to Remember
This event takes place on September 11, 2026 at Brothers of Mercy, 4520 Ransom Rd., Clarence, NY. It is a commemorative community gathering marking the 25th anniversary of September 11th, bringing together runners, walkers, families, friends, and neighbors for an evening of remembrance and unity.
The program combines a certified 5K course and an Oktoberfest party. The course runs through secure suburban streets and the Tillman Wildlife Management Area and returns to campus for post-race food, drinks, music, raffles, and other festivities.

A Ceremony of Remembrance is included as part of the evening and offers a tribute to the lives lost, the heroes and first responders, and those who continue to carry the memory of September 11th. Post-ceremony activities include live music by The Polka Boyz, German food such as bratwurst, German potato salad, and Bavarian pretzels, and international beer with premium beer donated by Hofbräuhaus. Basket raffles will be available throughout the evening.
Registration and pricing information: 5K Run/Walk $30 through August 11 and $35 from August 12 through September 10; Party only $25 through September 10; kids 10 and under free. The first 300 registrants will receive a commemorative T-shirt. 5K registration includes admission to the post-race Oktoberfest party.
