The Ramblers Run
The Ramblers Run takes place among the vines at Palatine Hills Estate Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The event is presented as fitness-focused and family friendly, offering routes for walkers, runners, and dog owners. The course uses grass and dirt paths; some areas are uneven and jogging strollers are recommended.
Race day includes timed and untimed options, water refill stations for reusable bottles, and post-event food, drinks, and live music. Participants in the 1.25 km and 5 km events receive a gift bag token, a glass of Palatine Hills wine, and a pair of custom Ramblers Run socks; non-alcoholic options are available for those under 19. Free parking is provided on the grassy area in front of the winery and there will be water stations for dogs during the dog walk.
5 km awards include gift baskets from the winery and local vendors, medals for second and third places, a youth category prize, and a Ramblers trophy with winners' names engraved and displayed at the winery. Ten percent of event proceeds will be donated to Community Care. The event is held rain or shine and participation is at the entrants' own risk.
