The Ramblers Run
The Ramblers Run takes place among the vines at Palatine Hills Estate Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The event is community driven and in its second edition, offering several short distance options and post-event activities in the vineyard.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 1.25 km Family Fun Run/Walk, untimed and stroller friendly.
- 5 km Timed race with men's and women's overall prizes and a youth category.
- 1.25 km Dog Walk for leashed dogs, with water stations available.
Each 1.25 km and 5 km participant receives a gift bag token, a pair of custom Ramblers Run socks, and a glass of Palatine Hills wine, with non-alcoholic options for those under 19. The event includes food and beverage vendors, live music, and awards for top finishers in the 5 km race; prizes include gift baskets, medals for second and third places, and a trophy engraving for overall winners. The course uses grass and dirt paths with some uneven sections; jogging strollers are recommended. Free parking is available on the grass area in front of the winery.
A water refill station will be on site. Ten percent of event proceeds will be donated to Community Care. Participants take part at their own risk and should be aware that ticks may be present in outdoor areas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
