The Wendell 5K & 10K takes place in Downtown Wendell on April 3, 2027, with start and finish on Main Street in Wendell, NC. The event offers two road race distances that run through the downtown area.

Registration opens August 1, 2026. The listed registration fees are $35 for the 5K and $45 for the 10K. Race shirts are provided to participants who register by the shirt deadline of Wednesday, March 24.

Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Pace Yourself Run Company in Wendell and on race day at the start/finish area. Course maps are noted as coming soon.

Awards include overall honors for the top three male and top three female finishers and age group awards for specified age brackets: 15 and under, 16–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 and over. The event also serves as the kickoff for three weeks of activities leading up to NC Sports Con. Proceeds from the race will benefit Wendell initiatives that support local programs, events, and projects. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
