21st Annual Gobblers Run 5K : Wake Forest, NC
The 21st Annual Gobblers Run is a family-friendly 5K held on Thanksgiving morning in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The event is based at the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club and typically involves about 2,500 participants.
All race proceeds benefit the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club; the event states that 100% of proceeds go to the organization. Over time the event has raised more than $1,000,000 to support local children and families.
Registration fees vary by date and age: in September the fees are $15 for ages 6–15 and $20 for ages 16 and older; in October $20 and $25; November 1–22 $25 and $30; November 23–25 $30 and $40; and on race day $35 and $50. Children aged 5 and under may run for free, and an additional youth-size event shirt can be purchased during registration.
