Waves Of Gray - 5K Brain Cancer/Tumor Awareness Walk
Waves Of Gray is a community event taking place on May 8, 2027 at the Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. The event raises awareness of brain cancer and brain tumors and raises funds for research and neuro oncology programs.
The in-person component is a family and pet friendly, non-timed and non-sanctioned 5K walk on Jacksonville Beach. Participants may choose to run if they wish. Registration for the in-person walk has a listed fee of $25.
A virtual 5K option allows participants to walk or run in their own location. The virtual option has a listed fee of $20, does not include a t-shirt or medal, and offers team registration and a printable bib.
The event was created in memory of a person who lost their battle with glioblastoma in November 2016. One hundred percent of funds raised will benefit the Waves of Gray Neuro-Oncology Endowment, supporting research programs through Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
