Washington Park Trail Trek : October 24, 2026

The Washington Park Trail Trek takes place in Washington Park at S. Grand Ave and Park Ave in Springfield, Illinois. The in-person route is a 5K that runs through forested park pathways and begins and ends at the Leland Farm Summer Kitchen. The course is marked by cones, directional arrows, and safety tape. Proceeds support the restoration and upkeep of the Leland Farm Summer Kitchen.

The event includes in-person running and walking options, a virtual 3.11 mile option that can be completed anywhere, and volunteer roles such as course marshall and trail clean up. Every participant receives a commemorative t-shirt; volunteers earn an event t-shirt. Top finishers receive unique prizes awarded across age group categories. The Washington Park Trail Trek is the final race in the All-American Trail Trek series, and series awards are distributed at this race.
