3rd Walk 4 Prostate Cancer 1 Mile Walk & 5K Run/Walk
The Walk 4 Prostate Cancer includes a 5K run/walk and a 1 mile walk held at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, Delaware. The course for the 5K is a flat and fast out-and-back on park roads. Timing for the run uses the Chronotrack B Chip system.
The event benefits Prostate Cancer Research and is produced by Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc. Race amenities include custom printed shirts, custom awards, a finish-line production by the host, and a post-race awards presentation and celebration. Awards are given to overall male and female champions, overall male and female masters (40+), and the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups, with awards presented within 20 minutes of the final finisher. There are no separate awards for walkers.
Registration opens on April 24, 2026. Pre-registration fees listed for the 5K and the walk are included with later race-week and race-day fee increases noted by the organizer. Registration options include online registration through RunSignUp and mail-in entry via the universal entry form. Entries received by Monday, September 7 are guaranteed a t-shirt; later entries receive shirts on a first-come basis.
The Seashore Striders maintain a no-refund policy but offer options such as transfer to another owned event, donation of the entry fee to charity, or deferral to the following year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
