Inaugural Sussex County Habitat for Humanity 5K run, 1 mile walk, Kids dash
This community event takes place on September 19, 2026 at Sandhill Fields on Sand Hill Road in Georgetown, Delaware. The program includes multiple participation options and organized timing.

- 5K run
- Competitive walking 5K
- 1 mile non competitive walk
- Kids dash
The event uses chip timing with the MYLAPS BibTag system. Top finisher awards for overall male and female and overall masters are scored by gun time; all other age group awards are scored by chip time. Additional medals are planned for the top three male and female finishers in age groups and for top walkers.
Amenities listed include race shirts and post race refreshments. Event policies note that no dogs are allowed on the course due to insurance liability, bibs are non transferable, and registration fees are non refundable. Registration tiers are listed for each distance and include the competitive walking category as a separate registration type with its own requirement to walk the entire race.
