Hops Trot 5K - Cape May Brewing
Hops Trot is a running event held at Cape May Brewing in Rio Grande, New Jersey, on September 12, 2026. The main event is a 5K run/walk that follows marked and secured routes through the Cape May Airport area and nearby roads. The course includes morning fuel stations, snacks and refreshments, and a medical support vehicle.
Participants finish back at Cape May Brewing, where registered runners receive an official co-branded pint glass, a finisher medal, two complimentary Cape May beers, and a neoprene koozie. The event program includes live music, food trucks, games, sponsor giveaways, on-site professional photographers, and a live raffle with over $3,000 in prizes. Non-alcoholic beer options and collectible runner bibs are available, and additional sponsor snacks and giveaways are provided before and after the run.
There are also post-run party options for non-runners: a party package that includes the pint glass, two beers, a koozie and a raffle ticket, and an entry-only party ticket for access to the private event space with live music. Net proceeds benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Check-in, parking information, and additional event details are provided to registrants prior to the event.
