Event overview
The Virginia Run for Cancer is a 24-hour timed event held in Hampton, VA, at 1255 Big Bethel Road. The event includes both 24HR solo and 24HR team formats. The course is a flat, 3.75-mile all-dirt nature park loop and is USATF certified (VA12075RT). Registration opens January 1 and is limited to 200 entrants; the registration fee is $75. Walkers are welcome, pacers are allowed after dark, and volunteer lap counters are provided.
Awards, services and race features
Awards include special engraved plaques for 1st place male, 1st place female, 1st place team, and a fundraiser award. Wooden plaques are given to runners who complete milestone distances. All entrants receive technical T-shirts. Returning participants can earn 500-Mile Club jackets and 1000-mile buckles. On-site liquid refreshments will be available; runners are asked to bring their own food and hydration. Pizza may be provided for dinner.
