Glowing Gobbler 5K : Newport News Park, November 25, 2026
The Glowing Gobbler is an evening 5K held on November 25, 2026 in Newport News, VA at 901 Clubhouse Way. The course runs through Newport News Park's Celebration In Lights, offering participants an opportunity to run within the park's illuminated holiday display.
Entry fees are non refundable and race numbers and entries cannot be transferred to other persons. Once an entry is received there are no refunds and race numbers or timing chips may not be given or sold to anyone else.
After the race, Fairways BBQ and Grill near the start and finish serves free cider and hot chocolate. An exclusive IPA for the event is available for purchase inside, along with pulled pork sandwiches and chicken noodle soup for purchase. The venue provides a place to warm up and gather after the run.
The event supports THRIVE Peninsula, which works to prevent hunger, keep families in their homes, and provide resources for long term stability.
