Event overview
The Westchester Park District presents the Veterans 5K Run & Walk on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Mayfair Park, 10835 Wakefield, Westchester, Illinois. The event includes a 5K run, a 5K walk, and a 1 mile walk. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Gary Sinise Foundation and K9s For Warriors. A course map is provided for the 5K and the 1 mile route. Awards will be given to the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers.
Registration and logistics
Registration fees are listed as $40 during the early period through November 5 and $45 for the period up to November 9. Packet pick up is available on Thursday, November 6, and Friday, November 7, with additional packet pick up and race-day registration at the race site on the event date. The Westchester Park District will host a complimentary Salute to Veterans brunch for veterans and their immediate family on November 9; attendees must register by October 31 for capacity and meal planning at the Community Center, Mayfair Center.
