Spooktacular Glow Run
Spooktacular Glow Run is a night-time 5K run/walk scheduled for October 22, 2026 at Mistwood Golf Club in Romeoville, Illinois. The event is presented by Mistwood Golf Club and McWethy's Tavern.
The event includes glow paint, neon giveaways, and Halloween candy along the course. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes; a prize will be given for the best costume. After the race there is an after party with music and refreshments. Prizes are awarded to the Top Three Overall Male and Top Three Overall Female finishers. All runners receive a race medal.
This is a measured, chip-timed 5K. A disposable timing chip is issued to registrants. The race path uses paved and gravel cart paths. Race participants receive a race shirt, one beer ticket, and post-race snacks; soft drinks are available for participants under 21. Runners who register by September 26 are guaranteed to receive their shirt by race day.
Packet pickup is available early on October 21 in the sales office across the courtyard from McWethy's Tavern and on-site on October 22; on-site space is limited. Registration information shows a listed fee of $49.54 for the 5K during the Jul 13 to Oct 20 registration period. For safety, no pets are allowed on the course and strollers and walkers should line up toward the back behind runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
