Spooktacular Glow Run
Presented by Mistwood Golf Club and McWethy's Tavern, this event in Romeoville, IL on October 22, 2026 is a night-time, chip timed 5K run that features a glow in the dark atmosphere with glow paint, neon giveaways, and Halloween candy. The course follows paved and gravel cart paths and uses disposable timing chips for measured results.
Race participants receive a race shirt, one beer ticket, a race medal, and post-race snacks; soft drinks are available for participants under 21. If registered by September 26, the race shirt is guaranteed to arrive by race day. Early packet pick-up takes place on October 21 in the sales office across the courtyard from McWethy's Tavern. On-site packet pick-up is available on October 22; space is limited.
Prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers. The best Halloween costume receives a surprise award. After the run there is an after party with music and refreshments. For the safety of participants, no pets are allowed on the course and strollers and walkers are asked to line up toward the back behind runners. The event has a no refunds policy.
