Wicked Wine Run – Cantigny Park
The Wicked Wine Run takes place at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Illinois, a historic public space formerly owned by Robert R. McCormick. This event combines athletic activity with wine tasting across the park's lush and scenic landscapes. Participants can choose between two main distances or participate in both:
- 5 km run or walk
- 1 km tasting walk
The 5 km event is an untimed course where participants can run or walk. Entrants receive an event shirt, a finisher medal, and a glass of wine at the finish line. Water stations are located twice along the course and once at the finish.
The 1 km tasting walk is a more relaxed experience. It features three different wine tasting stations along the route, with a fourth tasting provided at the finish line in a commemorative wine glass. Participants who select both distances receive the amenities associated with each.
The venue includes an after-party area with food trucks, music, and games. Entertainment includes dance and costume contests where participants have the opportunity to win event-themed items. On-site parking is available for a fee, and participants are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets for the post-race festivities. This is an age-restricted event; all participants and spectators must be 21 or older and provide valid identification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
