Event Overview
The Dream Nation Apparel Vancouver Island 24 Hour is a timed track event supporting the Victoria Hospitals Foundation. The live event is scheduled for September 19, 2026, at the Cowichan Sportsplex in Duncan, British Columbia.
Event Format
The event consists of several fixed-time distances for individuals and teams. The individual race categories are:
- 3 hour
- 6 hour
- 12 hour
- 24 hour
Participants aim to cover as much distance as possible within their chosen time period. Teams of 2 to 10 people are also available for the 3, 6, 12, and 24 hour categories. The total on-track capacity for all categories combined is limited to 50 participants. For the 24 hour event, runners covering over 100 miles receive a commemorative belt buckle.
Additional Details
The event also includes a virtual version, capped at 100 participants, which can be completed any time during September 2026. The ACU 100km Canadian National Championship is part of the event, though it is only open to current Athletics Canada Ultra members. Non-members can request their 100km split time if participating in the 12 or 24 hour events. Organizers have noted that cash prizes may be awarded for top fundraisers and promoters.
