Harriers Pioneer 8K
The Harriers Pioneer 8K is an annual road race organized by the Harriers Running Club and held at the Saanich Fairgrounds. The course runs through a rural, low traffic area and is gently rolling; it is described as fast and often serves as the provincial 8K championships. The event is part of the Vancouver Island Race Series and the BC Athletics Super Series and is often one of the first road races of the year in Canada.

Post race provisions include pizza, dairy items, cookies and beverages. The Harriers Running Club was established in 1978 and is described as Vancouver Island’s largest running club.
