Saanich Physio+ Bazan Bay 5K : Sidney, British Columbia
The Saanich Physio+ Bazan Bay 5K is held in Sidney with the start, course and finish located beside the water and offering views of Sidney Island. The route is nearly flat with an almost imperceptible incline for the first 2.5 km, a single 180-degree turnaround, then a mild downhill return.
The event is based at the Mary Winspear Centre, 2243 Beacon Ave. Registration is online only and the race is capped at 900 entries. Published entry fees are $40 for early registration and $50 for standard pricing. Season pass pricing is listed as $210 early and $240 standard.
Package pickup is scheduled Saturday at Frontrunners at Shelbourne Plaza from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and Sunday at the Mary Winspear Centre from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. There is no day-of registration. Post-race provisions include refreshments, food, draw prizes and awards.
Results are available live online and include five-year age-group rankings, age-graded scores, team/club points and a points performance rating.
