Race details
The course runs along forested roads near Shawnigan Lake and passes farms. The route is described as fast, featuring a long, flat and gentle downhill. Courses in the series are measured to World Athletics and Athletics Canada specifications and are record-eligible except where noted for other events. Live results are posted automatically at the finish.
The event is open to runners, racewalkers, walkers, and wheelchair athletes only. Prohibited items and activities include roller blades, strollers, and cycling except for designated official cyclists. Pets are not permitted with participants except registered guide dogs; visually impaired participants accompanied by a guide or guide dog must start at the back of the field. The use of headphones is discouraged; a participant may be disqualified if headphones contribute to impeding others, operations, or emergency services.
Registration notes: Regular registration price shown is $45.18 (Nov 11–Dec 25) and late price $55.94 (Dec 26–Jan 23). Online registration closes on Friday, January 24. Fees include an administration charge but not 5% GST; payment is in Canadian funds and entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
