Event overview
The Cobble Hill 10K is part of the Vancouver Island Race Series and is scheduled for Sunday, January 25, 2026. The race starts and finishes at George Bonner Elementary School, 3060 Cobble Hill Rd, Cobble Hill, BC. The course runs along forested roads near Shawnigan Lake, passes farms, and is described as a fast route with a long, flat and gentle downhill. It is listed as the BC 10K Championships within the event program. A series kickoff event is scheduled for Friday, January 9 at Frontrunners Footwear on Yates and Vancouver Streets.
Registration, rules and fundraising
Online registration closes at 12 noon on Friday, January 24. Published entry pricing shows a Regular fee of approximately $45.18 and a Late fee of approximately $55.94; fees are payable in Canadian dollars and include an admin charge but not 5% GST. An online processing fee is applied to registrations. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
The event is open to runners, racewalkers, walkers, and wheelchair athletes only. Prohibited on course are roller blades, strollers, and bicycles except for designated official cyclists. Pets are not permitted, with the exception of registered guide dogs. Visually impaired participants accompanied by a guide or guide dog must start at the back of the field. The use of headphones is discouraged and a participant may be disqualified for impeding others or emergency operations. Organizers will follow provincial health orders; proof of vaccination or mask requirements for indoor access may be enforced.
