Event Overview

The Valor 5K & Kids' Mile will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 491 Airport Road in Winchester, Virginia. The event honors all public safety and military personnel, expanding on a previous run dedicated to Trooper Manion. A memorial slideshow will be displayed at packet pickup to honor fallen first responders and military members.

Distances

Valor 5K: Open to participants aged 6 to 100.
Kids' Mile: Open to children aged 6 to 12.

Course

The run takes place on the runway of the Winchester Regional Airport. The course is described as flat and fast.

Registration & Details

Registration closes on race day at 7 AM. Shenandoah Valley Runners (SVR) members receive a $1 discount on registration. Participants can also register as part of a team to compete against other groups. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrants before March 8, after which availability becomes limited.
