Event overview
The Valor 5K & Kids' Mile takes place on April 11, 2026, in Winchester, Virginia. The events are held on the runway of the Winchester Regional Airport. The course is flat. The event is dedicated to honoring public safety and military personnel and includes a memorial slideshow at packet pickup to recognize those who have fallen or left their professions.
Distances and eligibility
- 5K : open to ages 6 to 100.
- Kids' Mile : open to ages 6 to 12.
Registration and logistics
Registration opens January 15, 2026. T-shirts are guaranteed for those who register before March 14; after that date shirts are limited by inventory. Shenandoah Valley Runners members receive a $1 registration discount. Team registration is available to allow teams to compete against each other.

Event address is 491 Airport Road, Winchester, VA 22602. Packet pickup includes the memorial slideshow for local law enforcement, fire and rescue, and military personnel.
