Thanksgiving Day 5K
The Thanksgiving Day 5K takes place at Sherando Park in Stephens City, Virginia. Participants follow a scenic course that incorporates a variety of surfaces, including the local track, paved paths, and woodland trails. The route showcases autumn foliage throughout the park.
Several events are available for different age groups and preferences:
- 3.1 Miles: The primary Thanksgiving 5K race utilizing the mixed terrain course.
- 1K: A 2.5-lap run around the track for kids.
- 0.6K: A 1.5-lap run around the track for kids.
- 100m: The Tot Trot, held on the track for the youngest participants.
The youth-focused track events, including the Kids Fun Runs and the Tot Trot, do not provide finishing times or age group awards. The venue is located at 185 South Warrior Drive. Registration must be completed in advance as there is no registration available on the day of the race.
