UWL Turkey Trot 5K
The University of Wisconsin–La Crosse presents the 31st annual UWL 5K Turkey Trot Fun Run & Walk at the Recreational Eagle Center on Saturday, Nov. 21. The event is described as La Crosse's original Turkey Trot and is a Thanksgiving tradition for many friends and families in the region. The program also includes a coloring contest and youth races under the "Junior Gobbler" name.

Registration windows and fees are listed for preentry November 1–20 and for race day entry. Preentry fees for the 5K are $33 with a t-shirt and $23 without, plus processing fees. Race day fees for the 5K are $38 with a t-shirt and $28 without, plus processing fees. Junior Gobbler entry is $18 with a t-shirt or $5 without, plus processing fees. Cash is not accepted for t-shirt sales.
Packet pick-up and same-day registration occur at the Recreational Eagle Center (1600 Farwell Street). Packet pick-up is available the day before the event and on the morning of the event. Parking is free in UWL lot C-7 outside the Recreational Eagle Center. Pets are not allowed on the course.
Awards use gun time to determine overall and age group winners. The top three overall male and female finishers receive medals and prizes and are excluded from age group awards. Age groups begin at 9 and under and continue in standard adult ranges up to 70 and older. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
