Medal Madness at Wilmington
The Medal Madness event in Wilmington, North Carolina, takes place at Halyburton Park. This organized run features two primary distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K - An out-and-back route completed two times.
- Half Marathon - An out-and-back route completed six times.
All participants must register in advance through the online platform, as there is no registration available on the day of the event at the park. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the start and concludes 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the race.
The course is subject to a time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The layout for the 5K involves a 1.56-mile out-and-back loop, while the Half Marathon utilizes a 2.18-mile out-and-back loop. Finishers receive a medal for completing their respective events.
Additionally, the event includes a costume competition, where participants may choose to compete for the best costume award.
