Event details
The Medal Madness event is scheduled for January 17, 2026, at Halyburton Park in Wilmington, NC (4099 S 17th St, Wilmington, NC 28412). The event includes two distances:
- 5K, Price $30, 24 spots left.
- Half Marathon, Price $65, 24 spots left.
All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Registration closes on January 17, 2026. Finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, awards, series points, and a best costume contest are part of the event program.
Course and logistics
Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and ends 10 minutes before the race start. The event uses measured out-and-back segments for both distances. The 5K is based on a 0.78 mile segment configured as an out-and-back (1.56 miles) that is repeated twice. The Half Marathon uses a 1.09 mile segment as an out-and-back (2.18 miles) that is repeated six times. The course time limit is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
