Event Overview
The Pirate 5K & 13.1M event takes place at Green Hills County Park in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The event features two race distances:
- 5K
- Half Marathon
Both events start at the same time.
Event & Course Details
The race takes place on a concrete surface. The course is an out-and-back style, meaning runners travel to a turnaround point and return along the same path. The 5K distance requires completing this out-and-back loop twice. The Half Marathon requires completing the loop six times. The total course time limit for the event is three hours.
Venue & Registration
All participants must register online via RunSignup; there is no on-site registration available. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the start and concludes 10 minutes prior. Parking is available at the playground on the north side of the park, and public bathrooms are also located near the playground. The park gate opens one hour before the race start.
