Pirate 5K and Half Marathon
The Pirate 5K & 13.1M at Raleigh, NC is a themed athletic event held at Green Hills County Park. This race is part of the US Road Running race series and features multiple distances for participants. The event is held on a concrete surface within the park and has a total course time limit of three hours for all participants.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 5K - An out-and-back course completed two times.
- Half Marathon - An out-and-back course completed six times.
Registration must be completed online prior to the event, as there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup is available at the race location starting 30 minutes before the event begins and concludes 10 minutes before the start.
The park gates open one hour before the race start time. Parking is situated at the playground on the north side of the park, where bathroom facilities are also located. Finisher medals are awarded to those who complete their respective courses. The event also features a best costume competition, and runners can earn points toward the US Road Running series.
