Event Overview
The Pirate 5K & 10K takes place in Raleigh, North Carolina, at Green Hills County Park. The event offers two race distances: a 5K and a 10K.
Venue and Logistics
The event is located at Green Hills County Park, 9300 Deponie Dr, Raleigh, NC. Parking is available at the playground on the north side of the park. The gate to the park opens at 8 am. Bathrooms are located by the playground.
Race Details
All participants must register online via RunSignup, as there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race start and ends 10 minutes before. The course is concrete and follows an out-and-back format. The 5K distance requires running the out-and-back loop twice, while the 10K requires running it four times. Both races have a 2-hour time limit.
Features and Awards
All finishers receive a themed medal. While not required, participants are encouraged to wear costumes. A group photo is taken at the beginning of each race, and a best costume award is presented at that time. This event earns points for the US Road Running Race Series.
