Sunset Scramble
The Sunset Scramble is scheduled for April 11, 2026 at Fred G. Bond Park in Cary, NC. The event offers both in-person and virtual options and includes multiple race categories listed below.

All in-person distances use a simple 5K loop around Bond Park. Longer distances are completed by running additional laps of that loop, and 10K and 15K participants receive 5K lap split times. Participants registered for multiple distances will have lap splits applied as finish times for the shorter events when applicable. Shirts and finishers medals are included for 5K, 10K, and 15K entries when registered by March 28.
Course surfaces include dirt, grass, paved, and natural trails with moderate to big hills. The course is not USATF certified and course maps include elevation data. GPS tracking apps are not considered accurate measures of official course distance; official results are based on the measured course and the event timing system. Virtual participants may complete their distance anywhere and should note that only public restrooms and park water fountains may be available on course.
