Sunset Scramble - Cary, NC
Sunset Scramble is an evening running event at Bond Park in Cary, NC that offers in-person and virtual race options. The event uses a single 5K loop for all distances; longer races complete multiple laps of that loop and receive split times for each 5K lap. Participants have a two hour window to complete their chosen distance.
Registration options include in-person and virtual versions of the following distances:
- 15K in-person and virtual
- 10K in-person and virtual
- 5K in-person and virtual
- Kids in Strollers (in-person, open to ages 4 and under)
- Exhibitor space
The event provides lap split timing so each 5K circuit produces official split results. Runners who register for multiple distances receive timing for the longest distance and lap splits are applied as finish times for shorter registered events. A multi-race discount structure applies for registrations covering more than one distance.
Sunset Scramble registration includes a shirt and finisher medal for 5K, 10K, and 15K participants if registered by March 28th. The event lists course records for the Fred G. Bond Metro Park 5K, 10K, and 15K distances with times and years. Prize categories include overall, age group, lap split awards, and additional series and referral rewards.
