Event Information
The Gobbler 5K & Half Marathon takes place at Hickory City Park in Hickory, North Carolina on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The event offers two distance options:
- 5K
- Half Marathon
Both races share the same start time. The overall time limit for the course is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Course Details
The courses are out-and-back routes. The 5K involves completing a 1.56-mile out-and-back segment two times. The Half Marathon involves completing a 2.18-mile out-and-back segment six times.
Event Logistics
Parking and restrooms are located at the Trailhead. The registration area and starting line are situated north of the VFW, across from the corner of 16th Ave Pl NW and 12th St Dr NW. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race start and ends 10 minutes before. All participants must register online; there is no on-site registration.
Additional Features
All finishers receive a themed medal. While not required, costumes are encouraged. A group photo is taken at the start of each race, with a best costume award presented at the beginning of the event.
