Lake Rhodhiss Trailfest
The Lake Rhodhiss Trailfest is a timed trail running event held in Valdese, North Carolina. Managed by the Friends of the Valdese Rec, the event takes place at Valdese Lakeside Park. The race serves as the kickoff for Great State Trail Day.
Participants complete as many miles as possible within a specific timeframe on a loop course. The loop is approximately 3 miles long and consists of 2 miles of trail and 1 mile of crushed cinder greenway. This format allows participants to set their own distance goals or use the time to hike the course.
Available race durations include:
- 3 Hour
- 6 Hour
- 12 Hour
The event features a centralized start and finish area where participants can set up 10x10 tents or tables. An assortment of food and beverages is provided during the races to support the runners. The venue also plans to host live music on the pavilion stage at various points throughout the event to provide entertainment for participants and spectators.
