Lake Rhodhiss Trailfest - October 10, 2026
Lake Rhodhiss Trailfest is scheduled for October 10, 2026 in Valdese, North Carolina and is organized by Friends of the Valdese Rec. The 2026 format replaces prior 5K, 10K, 10M and fun run options with multi-hour timed events on a looped course.
The course is roughly a three mile loop that includes about two miles of trail and one mile of crushed cinder greenway. Participants aim to cover as many miles as possible during their chosen time window, or they may use the time to pursue a specific distance goal.
The event features multiple timed race options:
- 12 hour
- 6 hour
- 3 hour
The Lake Rhodhiss Trailfest serves as the kickoff event for Great State Trail Day the following weekend. Event facilities will include space for a 10x10 tent or table at the start/finish area, and food and beverages will be available during the races. Organizers intend to have live music on the pavilion stage at times during the event.
