Burke Day For Life 5K and Fun Run : Morganton, North Carolina
The Pregnancy Care Center of Burke County presents the second annual Burke Day For Life on October 10, 2026, held at Burkemont Baptist Church in Morganton, North Carolina. The day features a race program and a community celebration with music, food, games and fundraising activities.
Event distances include:
- 5K through the countryside at the base of Burkemont Mountain and through Double E Farms
- 1 Mile Fun Run loop starting and finishing at Burkemont Baptist Church
The 5K course passes working farmland with beef cattle, lambs, corn fields and a pumpkin patch. After the races, Briarpatch Mercantile at Double E Farms will offer local breads, cheeses, deer corn, gifts and produce. Awards are given by age group for male and female finishers. Post-race activities include food trucks, live music, carnival games, door prizes and a raffle. All proceeds support the services of the Pregnancy Care Center of Burke County.
Registration opens March 20, 2026. Race registrations close October 9, 2026, and a separate event T-shirt sale has a registration deadline of September 14, 2026. Race registrations include a T-shirt; additional shirts will be available on the day of the event on a first-come, first-serve basis and sizes are not guaranteed. Early packet pick up is available at Burkemont Baptist Church prior to the event; a race day packet pick up will also be offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
