Event Overview

The Medal Madness 5K & 10K takes place at Green Hills County Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. The event features two distances: a 5K and a 10K.

Course Details

The course is a concrete, out-and-back loop that measures 0.78 miles. Runners complete this loop multiple times: the 5K requires two laps, while the 10K requires four laps. The total time limit for completing either distance is two hours.

Logistics and Venue

Registration is required in advance on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the start and ends 10 minutes prior. The park gate opens at 8:00 AM. Parking and bathrooms are located near the playground on the north side of the park.

Additional Features

All finishers receive a themed medal. A best costume contest is held, with a group photo taken at the beginning of the race before the winner is announced.
