US Road Running - Madison Park
The US Road Running event in Charlotte features multiple distance options held at Marion Diehl Park. This organized run utilizes an out and back course design with the starting line positioned next to the Marion Diehl Adaptive Field. All participants receive finisher medals for completing their chosen distance.
The event offers three distinct distance categories:
- 5K: This race consists of a single loop of the out and back course.
- 10K: Participants complete the out and back course two times.
- Half Marathon: This distance requires completing the course four times.
A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is in place for all participants. Registration must be completed online through RunSignup, as there is no on-site registration available on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted at the race location during a 20-minute window ending shortly before the event begins.
In addition to the standard race categories, the event includes a best costume competition, though dressing up is not mandatory. The race is also part of the US Road Running series, where participants can earn points for their performance. Standard awards are presented based on the official results.
