US Road Running - Charlotte
The US Road Running event in Charlotte, North Carolina, features multiple distance options including a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon (13.1 miles), and Marathon (26.2 miles). The race takes place at the Mallard Creek Playground, located across from Mallard Creek Elementary School. All participants are required to register online in advance, as there is no on-site registration available on the day of the event.
The courses follow an out and back format and include a hill at the start and finish line. The 5K and 10K utilize a 1.56-mile route, while the Half Marathon and Marathon utilize a slightly longer 1.64-mile route. Participants complete a specific number of laps depending on their chosen distance:
- 5K: One out and back lap.
- 10K: Two out and back laps.
- 13.1 Miles: Four out and back laps.
- 26.2 Miles: Eight out and back laps.
A total time limit of six hours is enforced for all participants. Every runner who completes their distance receives a finisher medal. The event also includes a costume category where participants can compete for the best costume award.
