Strawberry Sprint and Stroll 5K
The Strawberry Sprint and Stroll 5K and Fun Run takes place in the historic downtown corridor of Fort Mill, South Carolina. This event serves as the opening activity for the annual South Carolina Strawberry Festival. The race follows a route through the town center and surrounding residential neighborhoods, offering participants views of local architecture and green spaces.
The course features rolling hills along the paved streets of historic Fort Mill. The event is open to both runners and walkers and includes two distinct distances:
- 5K race
- One-mile fun run
The setup includes a central starting and finishing area located on Main Street. Following the physical portion of the event, a Runner’s Village is established on-site. This area features a collection of local merchants, food trucks, and a dedicated kids' zone. Atmospheric elements include live music and appearances by the town’s strawberry mascot, Berry B. Good, alongside the Strawberry Queens. Local residents often gather on their porches along the residential sections of the course to observe the participants as they pass through the neighborhoods.
