The Right Moves for Youth Twilight 5K Road Race & Walk is a fundraising event supporting the Right Moves for Youth (RMFY) program. This is the event's 29th year. The run and walk will take place on April 24, 2026, starting and finishing at First Ward Park in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Course Details
The 5K (3.1 mile) course starts at First Ward Park. It goes on a fast, flat section towards the Elizabeth area before returning, finishing with a view of uptown Charlotte as participants go up 7th Street. A separate Kids Fun Run is also scheduled.
Benefiting Organization
Proceeds from the event support Right Moves for Youth, a school-based youth development program. The program serves approximately 1,000 students in grades 6-12 across 19 school sites, focusing on educational attainment, career development, and leadership.
Participant Information
The event includes a 5K run/walk for all ages, a Kids Fun Run/Walk, and a "Phantom Runner" fundraising option. There is also a "Fundraise Only" registration for those who wish to support the cause without participating in the run. Each registered runner will receive a race shirt and a finisher's medal, though availability is first-come, first-served.
