The Elizabeth 8K is a running event held in the spring in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday, April 25, in the Elizabeth Neighborhood.

Distances

The event features three separate activities:

An 8K timed road race.
A 1.5 mile untimed run/walk.
The Liz Kid's Run, a free, approximately 50-yard dash for children six years old and under.

Course and Participation

The course for the 8K and 1.5 mile distances starts and finishes near Elizabeth Avenue, winding through the neighborhood's streets. The event is in its 40th anniversary year and has drawn over 1,300 participants in recent editions.
