2026 UMD FCA 5k
The event is a community 5k held at Buddy Attick Lake Park, 555 Crescent Rd., Greenbelt, MD. Points from this race count toward the Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series and toward the Fall Series.
The in person race is a 5k that follows two laps around the lake. The event is chip timed. Course maps are provided. There is one water station on the course at about mile 1.6 and restrooms near the start and finish.
Runners receive a technical Drifit event shirt and medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age category. Awards categories for men and women are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over. Medal and shirt designs are posted before the race on social channels.
Registration fees for the 5k are listed as $35 until September 30 and $40 after that date. T shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before September 30; extras are ordered for later registrants on a first come first served basis. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered; t shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for race day registrants.
A virtual run option is available. Live results are posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted on the organizer website after the race. Photos taken by staff are posted after the event. Parking is available at Buddy Attick Lake Park, coordinates 39.00495 N, 76.89043 W.
