2026 UMD FCA 5k
The event is a chip timed 5k held at Buddy Attick Lake Park, 555 Crescent Rd., Greenbelt MD. The course consists of two laps around the lake. A virtual race option is offered for participants who cannot attend in person.
Points from this race count toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Fall Series. Live race results are posted on Athlinks the day of the event and final results with series points are published on the organizer's website the Monday after the race.
Registered runners receive a technical Drifit event shirt and medals for the top three finishers in each age category. Awards are given to the top three men and women in these categories: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for entries completed before September 30; shirts for later registrants are provided on a first come first served basis.
There is one water station on the course near mile marker 1.6 and restrooms are located close to the start and finish area. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is permitted though shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for same day registrants.
