Event Details
The UltraTrax Cannon Mountain event will take place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Franconia, New Hampshire. The event is a timed trek, not a race, and participants have 10 hours to complete their chosen course. The routes take place on Cannon Mountain, climbing through forest tracks, rocky scrambles, and steep ridgelines with views over Franconia Notch and the White Mountains.
Course Options
Participants can select from four different distance courses, each based on loops of a 7-mile trail.
- Level 1: 7-Mile Course
- Level 2: 14-Mile Course
- Level 3: 21-Mile Course
- Level 4: 28-Mile Course
Participant Information
The course is described as well-marked. Participants can optionally carry a weighted vest or ruck (10, 20, or 35 lbs) for additional challenges. All finishers receive a custom t-shirt and a velcro patch. Participants completing the 21-mile or 28-mile courses qualify for the UltraTrax Grey Wolf medal. A post-trek party with refreshments and food is scheduled.
Other event logistics include complimentary onsite parking and the option for bibs to be mailed or picked up on the morning of the event. A portion of the event proceeds is donated to the Conservation Lands Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
