Cannon Mountain - CIRQUE SERIES
The event on June 13, 2026 takes place at Cannon Mountain in Franconia Notch State Park, New Hampshire. The course is 6.9 miles with 3,080 ft of elevation gain and a highest point at 4,031 feet. The field is capped at 500 runners.
The route begins at the Peabody Base Area, immediately ascends the Peabody Slopes, and proceeds across the Front5 toward the Aerial Tramway. A 2 mile section on the Kinsman Ridge Trail gains about 2,081 feet before the Cannon Mountain summit. After the summit the course crosses under the Cannonball Quad, descends Upper Ravine Trail, climbs The Saddle to Mittersill, then follows Skyline, Ridge Run, and Dragons Drop. A short climb on the lower section of Baron’s Run is followed by a final descent on Coyote Crossing back to the Peabody Base Area.
The course surface is described as steep, rocky, grassy, wet, and slippery. It is marked with orange flagging and may be adjusted as necessary. A strict cut-off time applies at the Cannon Mountain summit of 2 hours, with competitors returning via the tramway if they meet the cut-off. The host site is the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, Division of Parks and Recreation.
Every competitor receives a snapback, giveaway ticket, a logoed bib and medal, a sponsor swag bag, and free professional photos. Cirque Series hats are available at the merch booth.
