U-46 Deaf and Hard of Hearing 5K
The U-46 Deaf and Hard of Hearing 5K is a community run and walk scheduled for May 9, 2026, at Bartlett Nature Center in Bartlett, Illinois. The event is presented by Geneva Hearing Services and is organized by the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program in School District U-46, which serves over 100 students with hearing loss through self-contained classrooms and itinerant resource services.
The event aims to build awareness of the DHH program across the district and community, foster social interactions, create parent and student connections, raise funds for the DHH Program, and promote a healthy lifestyle. Funds raised from the event support the DHH program for students and staff in the current year and future years.
