Childish Nonsense
Childish Nonsense is a multi-distance trail event held at Deer Grove Forest Preserve west in Palatine, IL. The course is mostly a wide path and is described as not technically difficult. The route is run in repeated laps.
There is one aid station located at the start and finish area, which participants encounter roughly every 5.5 miles. No other crew access is available on the course; crew may set up only at the start and finish area. Runners in the longest distance may use a pacer after completing four laps.

The event organizer identifies as CUSS Running, which aims to add whimsy to training and racing. The organizer states a mission to help others fall in love with ultrarunning and a vision that includes improving participants and community through both laughter and effort.
