LA Turkey Trail : event overview
The LA Turkey Trail is a trail running event in Los Angeles, held on Thanksgiving morning in the Santa Monica Mountains. The race starts at the Top of Reseda Trailhead (3539 Reseda Blvd.) and follows fire roads and singletrack toward the Nike Missile Tower with views of the Valley, the Pacific Ocean, and the San Gabriel Mountains. The half-marathon offers a $500 winner-takes-all cash prize for the top woman and top man. The event is cupless and provides professional medical support on site.

- Half-marathon: 13.67 miles, 2,323 ft gain
- 10k: 6.7 miles, 857 ft gain
- 5k: 2.76 miles, 448 ft gain
Entries include a race shirt, a unique finisher medal and free course photography. Post-race offerings include a beer garden (21+), a vegan-friendly taco breakfast, and sports massage services provided by Vision for Enrichment. Awards are given for overall and age-group placings in the half-marathon and 10k, and there are same-day results. The LA Turkey Trail is part of the SoCalTrail half-marathon series; finishes at multiple series races can earn a collectible plaque or entry into season-pass drawings.
