A Better World Running - Long Beach: Giving Thanks event
This event is a community road and beach path run organized by Fitsistership, a newly established nonprofit serving the Pasifika community. The event on Saturday, November 21, 2026 takes place at 5400 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90803, near 54th Place and Ocean Boulevard.
The course uses an open beach path and will be marked with out-and-back loops. An aid station at the turnaround near the start/finish provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and energy gels. The event includes multiple distance options:
- 5k out-and-back route
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
Registration accepts PayPal, Venmo, and credit card payments. Adults 17 and over are listed at $48 and participants 16 and under are listed at $28. Group rates are available for groups of 20 or more with a registration deadline of November 8 at 5 PM. Transfers are allowed only by request and there is a no refund policy. A time limit of three hours and thirty minutes applies to the half marathon and 15k. Participants must sign and submit a waiver prior to the event or complete it at packet pickup. Confirmation notices are sent after registration and may arrive in spam folders.
