62nd Annual Turkey Trot
The 62nd Annual Turkey Trot is presented as Iowa's oldest road race and a family tradition. It takes place on November 26, 2026 at Camp Dodge in Johnston, Iowa, at 7105 NW 70th Ave (south gate). The meeting location is the Pool Pavilion.
The event offers running and walking options:
- 5 mile run
- 2 mile run
- 2 mile walk
Hosted by families, the race brings together runners, walkers, and families on Thanksgiving morning. Participants receive the 62nd annual T shirt. The event notes that the schedule is arranged so participants can join the run or walk and still make Thanksgiving dinner.
Registration details include options to add a long sleeve shirt and tiered fees by registration date. The course and meeting arrangements are set within the Camp Dodge grounds and participants assemble at the Pool Pavilion on the event day.
