Ankeny Turkey Trot
The Ankeny Turkey Trot is scheduled for November 26, 2026 in Ankeny, Iowa at the DMACC Ankeny Campus. The event includes a chip-timed 5K and youth running options and offers a course time limit for the 5K. Packet pick-up details are posted before race day and event-morning pick up is available with an expected short wait. Participants must sign an online waiver; picking up a packet for another person requires a signed waiver from that participant.
Finish-line refreshments include Donutland donuts. Event gear options include a runner's choice classic t-shirt or an upgrade to a thin-tec soft polyester pullover. Purchased add-on finisher medals can be picked up after completing the race; unclaimed medals may incur a mailing fee. Participant gear must be collected at pre-event pickup or on event day; mailing may incur a fee.
All water stations provide water. There is no gear check on site. Headphones and personal audio devices are allowed but are strongly not recommended because they may impair awareness of course hazards. Dogs are not permitted. Strollers are allowed for walkers and joggers only and must start at the back of the field; a guardian must sign a waiver on behalf of any child in a stroller.
The event supports Friends of Iowa CASA and ICFCRB. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall in the chip-timed category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
