Turkey Trot 5K & Fitness Walk : Fountain Hills

The Fountain Hills Community Services Department organizes the 36th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run & Fitness Walk on Thanksgiving morning. The event takes place around the fountain at Fountain Park along the Avenue of the Fountains in Fountain Hills, Arizona, with the start area located just east of Verde River Drive at 16701 E Avenue of the Fountains.

Participants can choose from these course options:

• 5K timed run
• 1.5-mile fitness walk

Registration opens July 1. Pre-registration is required; there is no onsite registration on race day. Earlybird, standard, and late registration periods carry different fees and the listed prices include an additional tax and processing fee. Earlybird registrants receive an early packet pick up window and may pick up shirts and bibs before others. Packet pick up locations include Fountain Hills Town Hall for Early Bird Packet Pick Up and the Fountain Hills Community Center for general packet distribution on the scheduled dates.

All finishers in both the 5K and the fitness walk receive a finisher medal at the finish line; these medals are distributed only at the finish line and are not available for early or post-event pickup. The event includes a costume contest and a traditional long-sleeved event t-shirt provided with registration. An awards ceremony near the start/finish recognizes the top three male and female finishers in each age category: 12 & Under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+.
