Event Overview
The Run for Mental Health takes place at G.R. Herberger Park in Phoenix, Arizona. This event is organized as a small, private group run with a limited number of participants per wave to maintain a relaxed environment. People of all ages and fitness levels are permitted to participate by either running or walking.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 1 Mile Family Fun Run
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 13.1 miles (Half-Marathon)
Logistics and Timing
The event does not use timing chips, as it focuses on supporting personal goals in a stress-free setting. Manual timing is optional; runners may track their own progress using various mobile applications or request assistance from coordinators on-site to record their results for the online leaderboard.
There is no packet pickup at the venue. Instead, commemorative items such as the running T-shirt, finisher's medal, and towel are shipped directly to the participant's provided US mailing address. Race bibs are distributed on the day of the event. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual run option is available, which includes a digital training pack and allows for results to be submitted remotely.
Charity and Support
The event includes a charity initiative where the organizers contribute one dollar to partner charities for every mile logged by participants after the race.
