Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Hope Mills, NC
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Hope Mills, North Carolina, is a community event on May 23, 2026 that honors first responders and those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and supports programs of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The event features a 5K course (approximately 3.1 miles) that can be run or walked, and each participant receives a finisher medal.
Registration is offered in multiple categories with set fees for adults, first responders and military, youth, and children. Same day registration is available on the morning of the event. Packet pickup is available the day before and on the morning of the event; Friday pickup is at Stoney Point Fire Department in Fayetteville and Saturday pickup is near the event start area on Golfview Road in Hope Mills. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed and shirts are distributed first come, first served.
Event policies include required display of the bib on the front of the outer garment, allowance of strollers and wheelchairs, and permission to run with firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks. Pets are allowed if leashed. Water is provided along the route and at the start and finish area. Registrations are nonrefundable but may be transferred to another participant.
