The event is hosted by the Epsilon Rho Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Gamma Upsilon Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Proceeds from the race benefit two causes: the March of Dimes March for Babies campaign and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
