Juneteenth Celebration 5K
The Juneteenth Celebration 5K takes place on June 20, 2026 at 301 N. Cool Spring St, Fayetteville, NC. The event is centered in downtown Fayetteville and uses a flat route on city streets. It combines a running event with a Juneteenth community celebration at the start and finish area.
Two event options are offered:
- 5K in person run
- 3.1 miles virtual race with shirt and medal mailed
Registration opens March 23, 2026. In-person registration closes June 7, 2026 with a fee of $33.00. Virtual registration closes June 19, 2026 with a fee of $50.00. Virtual participants receive a race shirt and a medal by mail; organizers require correct mailing addresses for delivery.
The event raises funds for the Fayetteville Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. scholarship fund. Participants may run, walk, or move at their own pace along the marked course or complete the virtual distance on a route of their choosing.
