Firecracker 4 Miler and 1 Mile Fun Run
This event is scheduled for July 4, 2026 in Downtown Fayetteville at North South Brewing Co. The course is designed as a historic tour of downtown Fayetteville and passes through local landmarks.
Two distances are offered:
- 4 Mile Run/Walk (timed)
- 1 Mile Kids Run/Walk (not timed, limited to 40 entrants)
The 4 Mile is a timed run or walk. The 1 Mile is a fun run for children and families; an adult must accompany any child age eight and under. There is no race day registration.
Registration details vary by event. Registration opens March 25, 2026 for both distances; the 4 Mile registration closes April 30, 2026 and the 1 Mile registration closes June 12, 2026. Listed entry fees are $42.00 for the 4 Mile and $18.00 for the 1 Mile.
Participants may include competitive runners, recreational runners, walkers, children, people with strollers, and dogs. The event suggests wearing red, white, and blue running attire.
Proceeds from the Firecracker 4 Miler support scholarships for local high school youth and provide funds to local non profit organizations that work on community outreach, women's support, homeless support, animal shelters, and similar services.
