Firecracker 4 Miler and 1 Mile Fun Run - Fayetteville, NC (July 4, 2026)
The 13th annual Firecracker event takes place in downtown Fayetteville at North South Brewing Co, 304 Williams St., Fayetteville, NC 28301. The course is laid out as a historic tour of Downtown Fayetteville and is open to competitive runners, recreational runners, walkers, kids, strollers, and dogs. Organizers suggest wearing red, white, and blue running attire.
Two distances are offered:
- 4 Mile Run/Walk - timed
- 1 Mile Kids Walk/Run - not timed, limited to 40 entrants
The 1 Mile event requires an adult to accompany any child aged 8 or under. There is no race day registration. Registration opens March 25, 2026; the 4 Mile registration closes June 29, 2026 and the 1 Mile registration closes July 3, 2026. Entry fees listed by the organizer are $42.00 for the 4 Mile and $18.00 for the 1 Mile.
Proceeds support local causes: scholarships for local high school students and grants to local nonprofit organizations focused on community outreach, women's support, homeless support, animal shelters, and similar services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
